A Contemporary Buffet Table for A New Address

Equipped with our new architecture and design jobs, my boyfriend and I have finally been able to move to a brand new apartment on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. It’s close to both of our studios and has a great view of the neighborhood. In furnishing our home, we both decided that we wanted a similar minimalist aesthetic.

Many people often forget the buffet table but I knew that when we moved into our new digs, I would invest in a nice contemporary buffet table. For me, as a designer, it would be much less about function than it would be about form. I know that the buffet table can be a haven for all those things that you just don’t know where to put. They use this space to act as a sort of orphanage for all those fixtures around the house that are unique but also have no designated place.

Instead, I want my buffet to act as a sort of artistic focal point. This is why purchasing a contemporary buffet table is so important to me. Not only do I want it to basically go along with the general theme of my other furniture pieces but I want it to be able to stand on its own as well. I want people to walk in and appreciate its sleek elegance while admiring its clean glistening palette of light walnut finish. I’m going out to buy my contemporay buffet table today and my boyfriend and I have already agreed upon which one we’re likely to get. With an architect and designer in the house to pick out new hues and hutches, you won’t doubt that it will be the best and most beautiful make.
