Living with a Living Room Buffet

When you think of buffet tables, your mind will often wander to food and the wonderful, wonderful gluttony associated with it. However, buffet tables are perhaps more of a misnomer now that they become a more encompassing term to refer to all kinds of tables . They can be placed in the hallway or the living room. For me, I prefer my buffet table to sit in the living room. Here’s why:

  • It can act as a partition between rooms. For example, if you place it directly behind a couch, you can separate the living room from the kitchen or the dining room. This is important in creating distinct areas for your home.
  • If you are lacking in shelf space, you can use your buffet table as an extended location for storing items in.
  • Some of the lower-level buffet tables can act as television stands. Just be careful about scratching it and take great care when maintaining it’s sheen.
  • If you have a wine rack, you can put it on a lower shelf and some individual bottles on the counter of the buffet table and have the table act as a wine display.
  • Place it below an artpiece in the room and naturally frame the work. Immediately, all attention will naturally rise towards your art.

I hope this offers some creative ideas for you to change up your own living room buffet furniture and make it even more useful in your home.
