Generally speaking, I like contemporary and modern designs, and walk right past the ‘antique’ section of stores. It just wasn’t my thing, I preferred new, fresh designs in bright colors. That was, until I started furniture shopping for a great piece for my hallway. I anticipated that I’d get a simple cabinet, or contemporary buffet table. I looked high and low, checked out all the typical stores, and I couldn’t find anything that I really loved. While the hallway isn’t noticed as much as the kitchen or living room, people often walk back and forth and having a nice piece in there that fit my home’s decor and my personality, was really important to me. Finally, I found a great antique sideboard, that was exactly what I was looking for. It fits beautifully, doesn’t take up too much room, and it’s such rich wood, that I couldn’t resist it.
